h.b4mcbags3Glens Falls, NY – The Charles R. Wood Theater has been selected as a beneficiary of the Hannaford Helps Reusable Bag Program for the month of June.

This exciting program has been designed to support local nonprofits like the Wood. For every blue Hannaford Helps Reusable Bag with the good karma messaging purchased at the Glens Falls Broad Street Hannaford, the Wood Theater will receive a $1 donation in order to help fulfill its mission of engaging our community with the arts.

“We are honored to be selected as June’s recipient.  The Hannaford Helps program is win-win.  It’s obviously great for local nonprofits like the Wood but also helps the environment through promoting use of reusable shopping bags.” said Erin Coon, Executive Director of the Wood Theater.

The Charles R. Wood Theater has a goal of raising $500 during June as a beneficiary of the program, which is equivalent to 500 bags bought in support of the cause. The Wood plans to use the projected funds to support its NeighborWood Campaign, which is helping the theater to make necessary technological upgrades and building renovations.  With only 10% of the NeighborWood Campaign goal left to raise by the end of this year, $500 from the Hannaford Helps program will go a long way toward meeting the $400,000 goal set for the NeighborWood Campaign.
