Water Music NY is a musical experience two centuries in the making, and a cross-regional celebration of the bicentennial of New York’s Erie Canal.

It is a seven-day musical journey that award-winning artists and composers of the Albany Symphony made and in collaboration with local arts groups, allowed them to premiere one-of-a-kind pieces composed specifically for this event along the canal.

In Little Falls, Benjamin Wallace collaborated with the Mohawk Valley Choral Society to compose a piece uniquely focused on the area.

The day was filled with displays at Canal Place, as well as a practice session for the symphony in the afternoon, and the final performance in the evening.
