Anne is an entrepreneur and artist. She developed business and painting skills in the early 70’s in Glens Falls/Saratoga Area and on the island of Nantucket for nearly 20 years where she gained national attention for her business success. Primarily self-taught, Anne’s introduction to oil painting with Jeanne Hastings in Lake George had lasting impact on her work. Anne continues to use the color mixing methods learned in the Stone house Studio. She also gained techniques from faculty at The Art Room and Nantucket Oil Workshops and attended Critique Groups to further her knowledge. She is a recipient of the Plein Aire Painter of the Year Award from the Artist’s Association of Nantucket, captured attention for the most successful show of sold work in East End Gallery ‘s 16 year history, was recently Artist in Residence at the AAN Visual Arts Center and chosen for an N Magazine feature story about plein aire painters; the only woman among a group of male painters. Anne’s collectors include Google’s Eric Schmidt Family and international Decorator Bunny Williams among many others. She is currently represented by Old Spouter Gallery, Nantucket and Tilting at Windmills Gallery in Manchester Center, Vermont.

Anne retired with her husband to the beauty of Washington County and the small-town feel of Greenwich while being closer to family. Her studio is a renovated carriage house behind their Victorian house on Main Street, designed with contemporary glass window walls on the gabled ends and preserving the original floor and beams.
