The Revival in Wells is pleased to present a holiday concert on Saturday, December 16 at 3 pm, featuring “Liaisons Plaisantes” – an 18th century reenactment band presenting Christmas music originally recorded at the historical Johnson Hall. They are the house band at Johnson Hall in Johnstown, which was the baronial mansion originally built by Sir William Johnson and is now a state historical site.
Liaisons Plaisantes performs music mostly from before the American Revolution. Attired in period clothing they present as pure a presentation as possible as to how it might have been in the parlors of colonial America during the Christmas season. Take a break from the hectic, holiday hurriedness and gift yourself with their lovely carols and hymns in the candle lit and decorated hall. $10.00. Kids free. Refreshments.
