Ogdensburg, NY — The Frederic Remington Art Museum’s “Tai Chi – Taste – Tie Dye” event originally scheduled for Friday, January 12, has been postponed to Friday, January 19 from 6 to 8 pm due to weather. The event will take place at the Dobisky Visitors’ Center, 100 Riverside Avenue, Ogdensburg.

The event starts at 6 pm with Master Sean Boutin from North Country Tai Chi LLC. Tai Chi is a series of movements that are designed calm the mind and heal bodily imbalances. This is an introductory class for beginners, but all levels of experience are welcome.

At 7 pm, River Myst Winery will give a wine tasting demonstration. Wine will also be sold by the bottle. Light refreshments will be served.

At 7:30 pm Jillian Langley will guide participants in some easy-​to-do tie​ ​dye patterns. All supplies are included. Participants can liven up an old shirt, or get a new Frederic Remington t-shirt when signing up.

The pre-registration fee of $25 includes one white Remington t-shirt, or $20 if participants bring their own shirt to tie dye. The day of the event, the registration fee is $25.​ The event includes wine tasting, refreshments, an introductory tai chi class, and dyeing supplies. Space is limited so pre-registration is encouraged.
