Troy, NY – Troy Foundry Theatre, a 501(c) 3 professional theatre company in Troy, NY is currently accepting submissions of new plays. The selected plays will be presented in staged reading format as a part of Troy Foundry Theatre’s Dark Day Mondays Free Reading Series, with the possibility of being considered for full staging. We are looking for fill our slots for the March, April/May sessions. Please see below for details and submission directions. THERE IS A $20 SUBMISSION FEE PER PLAY.

2018 MARCH SESSION: FEMALE PLAYWRIGHTS
This session will specifically highlight female playwrights. The submitted play needs to be recently written and possibly never staged before. We are not interested in monologues. There are no restrictions on script-length or subject.

Submissions for the March session will be accepted until 5pm on FRIDAY, JANUARY 26, 2018.

2018 APRIL/MAY SESSION: MOUNTAIN VALLEY PLAYWRIGHTS
This session is specifically for playwrights who reside in the Hudson Valley, in either New York or Massachusetts. This includes the Catskills and parts North, the Berkshires and parts West, the Adirondacks and part South (using Troy as the epicenter). The submitted play needs to be recently written and possibly never staged before. We are not interested in monologues. There are no restrictions on script length or subject.

Submissions for the April/May session will be accepted until 5pm on FRIDAY, JANUARY 26, 2018.
