Eligibility. Open to all art/media. Artists may submit two pieces of original work completed within the last two years. Prints of original work will not be accepted. Two dimensional work must be properly framed and ready to hang. Clip hangers and saw tooth hangers are not acceptable. Two dimensional work may not exceed 26×32. Three dimensional work must be an appropriate size for a small gallery.
Entry Procedures. Artwork must be hand delivered to NorthWind Fine Arts Wednesday, April 25 thru Saturday, April 28, 2018 between 11-5. Entry forms will be available at the gallery.
Entry Fee. A nonrefundable entry fee of $25 for one or two pieces of art is required.

Basic framing technique workshop. On Saturday, March 17 from 1-4 pm, gallery member Catherine Hartung will demonstrate basic, affordable framing possibilities to prepare your art for entry into the juried show. There will be $10 fee to participate, which may be applied to the entry fee for the show. Space is limited. If interested, please contact Catherine Hartung ([email protected]).
Native Adirondack artist, Martha Deming, is a Skidmore College and Syracuse University graduate, and had a 32-year career in art education. Currently represented by several New York State galleries, she holds Signature Memberships in the Central NY Watercolor Society, the Transparent Watercolor Society of America, and the Pastel Society of America. On Friday, May 4, there will be an opening reception from 5-7:00 pm. Light refreshments will be served. Awards will be announced at 6 pm. The reception is open to the public.
Awards. Juror will determine the number of works to be awarded cash prizes and honorable mentions. The first place award winner will have an opportunity to have a solo show in March 2019 at NorthWind Fine Arts.
Sales. A 30% commission will be retained by NorthWind Fine Arts on all works sold during the exhibition.
Notification of juror selection. A list of accepted works will be posted at northwindfineartsgallery.com on Tuesday, May 1, 2018. Pick up of Non-Exhibited Art Work not accepted for exhibit must be picked up between May 2-6. If picking up work on Friday, May 4, please do so before the opening reception which starts at 5 pm. Artists not able to retrieve work on these days should notify us by email ([email protected]) so other arrangements may be made.
Pick up of Exhibited Art. Exhibited work should be picked up May 23-27. Artists unable to retrieve work on these days should notify us at northwind[email protected] After 30 days, artwork not picked up will become the property of NorthWind Fine Arts unless previous arrangements have been made.
