Old Forge, NY – The Opening Reception for the 2018 Central Adirondack Art Show will be hosted at View Arts Center on Friday, May 4th from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM. This art show is a long-standing Old Forge tradition, showcasing some of the finest artists from the Central Adirondack Region and beyond.

Held for the first time in 1952 by View founder Miriam Kashiwa in her front yard, the Central Adirondack Art Show is a testament to the significant place the arts hold within the hearts and minds of the residents and visitors of the Adirondacks.
This year’s reception will include all of our current exhibitions, including Mountain Air Painters, Linda Bigness: Spring Thaw, Jean Stephens & Raphaela McCormack, and Mary P. Murphy.

Upon arrival, View members will be able to receive one raffle ticket for a chance to win a member-only raffle prize. There will be hors d’oeuvres and a cash bar during the reception. Members and guests will also have a chance to experience the Utica Zoo, as its team will be showing and teaching us about some of our local Adirondack animal friends.

This reception is free and open to the public.
