SARANAC LAKE, NY—For the second consecutive year, Saranac Lake ArtWorks invites area artists to join in a series of six artists’ studio tours that run the last weekend of the month from late June through late November.

By opening the tours up to a six-month schedule, artists have the opportunity to reach more people in a more leisurely fashion.

Anyone who has observed or participated in studio tours firsthand, knows that it is very difficult to get to more than three or four a day. If there are demonstrations or hands-on activities or if one is traveling to out-of-town clusters there is even less time to visit multiple artists’ workshops.

That is the beauty of the Saranac Lake ArtWorks Studio Tour schedule. Artists can opt in and out, the general public may do the same and, ultimately, through the course of the season, one could actually get to all of the artists’ workspaces.

Artists may participate in as many or as few of the weekends, whatever works best for them.

Tour hours are 10 to 5 from Friday to Sunday but artists may customize their own hours and the days of the weekend to suit their needs.

Each month, different artists will participate in this annual event that draws residents and tourists alike to the homes and studios of some of the finest artists in the North Country.

The season of the 2018 Saranac Lake ArtWorks Studio Tours begin the weekend of June 29, June 30th, and July 1st. A “Meet the Artists” reception will be held at BluSeed Studios on Friday evening, July 27.

To be included in all media pieces, artists must register for the 2018 Studio Tour Series by May 20.

More details and the studio tour registration can be found on the ArtWorks website at: http://www.saranaclakeartworks.com/studiotour/index.html
