Old Forge, New York — VIEW Arts Center in Old Forge announces its summer performance season of four plays, three family plays, six concerts, and an opera. The performance season begins in June with the play Kimberly Akimbo, an encore performance of April Verch Band, and the acclaimed play Mitch Albom’s Tuesdays with Morrie.

In July, View will feature the plays Snow White, Marjorie Prime, Beauty and Beast, Jr., and a live performance by the incomparable Dan Brubeck Quartet.

August will host a concert by Emmy-nominated Jay Ungar and Molly Mason, the fantastical Seussical: The Musical, and a performance by internationally celebrated violinist William Knuth and pianist Ida Tili-Trebicka that will feature an evening of classical chamber music celebrating the style and old-world charm of European salon concerts. Also in August is the 8th annual concert Broadway Meets Opera and a performance by the six-piece rocking country band The Sweetback Sisters.

Rounding out the season in September will be a new playful adaptation of Sense and Sensibility and the summer season finale The Falling and the Rising, an operatic story of family, service, and sacrifice inside a period of great uncertainty.
