Micropolis Cooperative will hold a “Meet the Artists” reception at its Gloversville gallery on Friday, January 11 from 5-7pm. Dan Bridge, weaver and fiber artist, will be the featured artist.
Dan has given his show the title “A Murder of…” The name was conceived while working on a challenge from his local quilt shop and it just grew from there.
“Crows (and ravens) have always fascinated me,” stated Dan. “Working on these pieces gives me the opportunity to play with design, color . . . and to have fun! These elements make my life sing.”
Dan grew up in Johnstown and now resides in Coxsackie, NY. He has been an active Micropolis contributor and working member for five years.
Paintings, drawings, pastels, photographs, fiber art, batik, mixed media, woodwork, glass, digital art, jewelry, pottery, woodland assemblages and fine art cards by all Micropolis artists will also be on display.
The show, which is free and open to the public, runs through February at Micropolis, 30 N. Main St., Gloversville. The gallery is located inside Mohawk Harvest Cooperative Market and is open seven days a week. (MON-FRI / 8AM-6PM — SAT / 8AM-5PM — SUN / 9AM-4PM)
