Old Forge, New York — Jeff Grimshaw, Executive Director of View Arts Center in Old Forge, has announced he will be completing his work with View in his current role on December 14th, 2018.

For the past two years, Jeff has led View in its drive to strengthen ties to the local community and the upstate and Adirondack regions by offering and promoting engaging workshops, musical and stage performances, exhibitions, and community events.

“We are grateful for Mr. Grimshaw’s commitment and wish him success in his new endeavors,” said Fritz Messere, President of View’s Board of Directors.

Ms. Bernadette Sunderlin, Director of Operations at View, will serve as interim director while View executes its search for a new director.

Founded in 1951, View is dedicated to inspiring the lives of individuals visiting or residing in the Adirondacks. Open year-round, it draws artists, musicians, instructors, and speakers from across North America. It regularly hosts juried exhibitions in its four airy and light-soaked galleries, performances in its spacious and intimate Gould Hall, and a variety of workshops and classes in its Meyda Tiffany and Lighting Creative Arts wing.

View also serves as the community center for the region, hosting meetings, special events, and the Kinderwood Preschool. View is located at 3273 State Route 28 in Old Forge, NY.
