This year’s juror is Noreen Sadue. She is an artist and teacher who has lived and taught in the Plattsburgh area since 1991. Her work has been exhibited throughout the Northeast in multiple solo and group shows. Her career as a high school Art teacher spanned 28 years and included an adjunct position teaching Photography at Plattsburgh State University. Recently retired, she enjoys more time working in her studio pursuing creative endeavors. She received her B.F.A. from New York Institute of Technology, Long Island and her M.A. in Painting and Printmaking from Goddard College, Vermont.

Noreen writes, “I am an artist, teacher and nature lover. These strands of my life weave together and provide continuous creative inspiration. Though primarily a painter and photographer, I have found that my interest in exploring various media and working with found objects often leads me to redefine the process and applications I work with. Paying close attention to qualities such as texture, transparency, color and line allows me to translate my experiences and perceptions of the natural world around me and present my work through abstraction.”
