NorthWind Fine Arts Gallery is kicking off 2019 with its “Prehistory: Origins of Art” exhibit. As Saranac Lake’s “Prehistoric Park” Winter Carnival comes to town, the gallery will be showing brand new artistic interpretations with a prehistoric and original twist.
Inspired by ancient cave art and the timelessness of artistic expression, gallery members have been challenged to shake things up a little (or a lot!) and break out of their comfort zones to step foot into the past—the far past. Come and join us for something different—wear your favorite Winter Carnival costume and add to the fun!
The opening reception is Friday, February 1 from 5-7 pm. Light refreshments will be served, and the public is welcome.
NorthWind Fine Arts is in the High Peaks area of the Adirondacks, just a short drive from Lake Placid. Gallery hours are 11-5 Thursday through Saturday, 11-4 on Sunday.
