Glens Falls, NY: The World Awareness Children’s Museum is excited to announce our continuing series of seasonally themed events at the museum for the week of January 12th – 19th, including our “Artists Adventures” series, which is a 6 week course that teaches children about the countries represented in our exhibits at the museum while also giving them a chance to showcase their artistic talents (which also learning some new techniques as well!
Our upcoming events are as follows:
– Saturday, January 12th (11:00am – 12:00pm): Uttarayan Indian Kite Festival – Visit the museum on Saturday, January 12th for a truly spectacular event! Special guest instructor Neha Golwala will teach us about Uttarayan, the Indian Kite Festival! Children will hear a story about the festival and make their own kites! Event is free with admission and runs 11:00am – 12:00pm!
– Fridays, January 18th – February 22nd (3:30pm – 4:30pm): Artist Adventures – Learn about our diverse world through art by creating your own miniature masterpieces at our “Artist Adventures” series, Fridays, Jan. 18th – Feb. 22nd. This 6 week art class series will teach children about the countries represented in our museum, while learning basic drawing and painting techniques. Children will get to take home one finished piece of art after each class, for a total of 6 pieces at the end of the 6 week period. Appropriate for children ages 8 – 12.
Cost: Members – $8 per session/ $44 for 6 weeks. Non-Members – $12 per session / $68 for 6 weeks.

– Saturday, January 19th (1:00pm – 2:30pm): Winter Paint & Sip (Musings Of Spring) – Our popular and family friendly Paint & Sip series returns with guest instructor Chloe Jagelski guiding us on a winter themed art class! Event is $20 per parents/child duo ($5 for each additional child, $10 for each additional adult). Members receive a 50% discount. Please call the museum today to reserve your spot: 518.793.2773.
And don’t forget about “Early Explorers Play Group”, every Thursday from 10:30am – 12:30pm, which is time for caregivers and their children to visit the museum, enjoy some light snacks, and form a community of encouragement and acceptance. Cost: $2 per family.
