Saranac Lake, NY – Your favorite community celebration of poetry is back for the fourth year, and we want your poems! Love poems from your 12 year old self. Odes to your favorite snack. Haikus about your mom. Whatever it is, PoemVillage wants your work.

Every submitted poem will be printed on gorgeous posters to hang in the windows of downtown Saranac Lake from late April-mid May, creating a corridor of poetry throughout the town. Submit up to 3 original poems, 24 lines or less. Whether you send your first poem or your thousandth, we can’t wait to see it. Free and open to all with love for the Adirondack region. Submission Guidelines

All submissions will be accepted, and there are no judges of the poems submitted.

All work must be an original work from the submitting individual.

We cap our submissions at a total of 350, get yours in now!

Limit 1-3 submissions per person. Must be 24 lines or less to fit on the poster.

New year, new poems, please refrain from submitting a poem already printed in PoemVillage.

The Adirondack Center for Writing welcomes classes and teachers located in the region to submit poems from classwork as well. Individual students are encouraged to submit poetry on their own.

PoemVillage welcomes every community member to visit downtown Saranac Lake from April 26-May 12 to read poems from locals and visitors like you. All are invited to hunt for pocket poems all over town, to share their original writing and listen at our Beat & Verse Open Mic, and to read poems with new friends and neighbors during the PoemVillage Pub Crawl.
