Old Forge, NY – The Staff and Board of Directors at View Arts Center would like to extend a big thank you to those who contributed to this year’s Chili Bowl Luncheon.
Thank you to all of our restaurants and table sponsors who supported our event. View staff and volunteers served approximately three hundred people in a little over two hours.
Our deepest thanks to everyone who attended and helped to support the event. This year’s chili, soups, and stews were all exceptional and were donated by the following restaurants: Walt’s Diner, Great Pines, Ozzie’s, DiOrio’s Supermarket, Toboggan Inn, A Moveable Feast, The Woods Inn, Randy’s, 5 Corners Café, Stillwater Hotel, North Country Market, Red Dog Tavern, Adirondack Dog House, Misters Bistro, The Steakhouse and Slickers. A special thank you to Brian Bamberger who donated and our very own Hazel Alexis who made her special mac and cheese.
In addition to the chili donations, we would like to thank Laurie Montanye for getting together a dessert crew of Jodi Pross, Linda Cook, Margo Boylan, Anne Garbarino, Ruth Brussel, Claire Oehler, Sheila Brady, Barb Proper, Tina Bradt, and Paula Weal.
With tables full of chili and desserts ready to be had, none of this would have been possible without the hardworking hands of our potters! There were bowls of all shapes, sizes, colors, and styles. These bowls were handmade by the following skillful potters: Sherrie Alban, Kristen Benson, Cynthia and Russ Brownell, Ann Boerger, Jean Card, Heather Caufield, Scott Foley, Barbara Fry, Sue Girtler, Page Hannah, Jennifer Potter Hayes, Marie Imundo, Janine Julian, Julie Liddle, Julia Pilny, Deb Munyan, Cindy Panella, Wendy Seifried, Bette Rintrona, Jeanne West and Nancy Venetz.
Others who helped with the event: Carolynn McCann, Mary DuRoss, Ron Rakowski, Julia Dilny, Montana Fletcher, Wendy McGraw, Loretta Lepkowski, Maureen Heroux, Zach Dufft and John Munyan. Town of Webb School students: Sarah Beck, David Ehrensbeck, Natalie Herron, and Anna Eddy.
Last but not least, a big thank you to our serving crew volunteers (in photo): Mary Denn, Margo Boylan, Deb Munyan, Sue Girtler, Peg Flora, Nanci Russell, Catherane Weslake and Marcia MacDonald (not in photo). Photo credit: Loretta Lepkowski, View volunteer.
