September 7th from 2 pm to 11 pm at Canal Place
Little Falls, NY— The Bluegrass, Bikes & BBQ Festival have announced their festival headliner, The Delaney Brothers, a two-time SAMMY (Syracuse Area Music Award) winner and one of central New York’s oldest and best-loved bluegrass groups.
“It’s exciting to be able to bring top talent like The Delaney Brother’s to this year’s festival. Their reputation for consistently delivering what audiences want in bluegrass music is extraordinary,” commented David E. Warner, Event Director.
Founded in 1981, The Delaney Brothers have entertained audiences around the northeast and beyond with their own brand of harmony that was the hallmark of legendary acts such as Jim and Jesse McReynolds and the Louvin Brothers.
The Delaney Brothers have produced seven CD’s over the years including: “Full Spectrum”, “Tina’s Waltz”, “25th Anniversary Reunion Concert”, “Generations” and “We’ll Meet Again.” Bertie Sullivan, who held the title of SPGMA’s Promoter of the Year multiple times and penned her liner notes for their CD “We’ll Meet Again Someday,” summed up their music in this way, “With dedication to our beloved bluegrass music, Delaney Brothers Bluegrass truly has yesterday’s traditional sound; but they also have the sound of today!”
According to John Delaney, “We’re excited about headlining the Bluegrass, Bikes & BBQ festival this year. Small festivals like this one make it easy to connect with audiences and are a lot of fun for the band. It’s going to be a fantastic evening.”
Their music is more than just bluegrass—it’s influenced by many other acoustic traditions such as country, folk, gospel and Celtic. Fans are treated to a musical experience that is sure to “put a smile on their faces and set toes to tapping.”
The Delaney Brothers are scheduled to perform at The Bluegrass, Bikes & BBQ Festival from 8 pm to 10 pm, Saturday, September 7th.
