Caffè Lena Poetry Open Mic featuring Richard Levine

Free – $5

This monthly event, hosted by Carol Graser, takes place on the first Wednesday of every month and includes an open mic reading as well a featured poet. Sign up for the open mic starts at 7:00 and readings start at 7:30. Each open mic poet reads two short poems (less than one page) or one longer poem. All styles of poetry are welcome. This month will feature a poetry reading by Richard Levine

A retired New York City teacher, activist, and poet Richard Levine is the author of the poetry collections Selected Poems (Future Cycle Press 2019) and Contiguous States (Finishing Line Press, 2018), as well five chapbooks: The Cadence of Mercy, A Tide of a Hundred Mountains, That Country’s Soul, A Language Full of Wars and Songs, and Snapshots from a Battle. Some of his activism appears on YouTube.
