Old Forge, New York — View will host multiple writing workshops from October 2018 through March 2019 with award-winning author and writing coach David Hazard, a forty-year veteran of the publishing field. The workshops are as follows.

Writing Children’s Books and Young Adult Fiction on Saturday October 6th from 10:00 AM to 2:00 PM. This workshop will focus on meeting the challenges of writing for children and young adults, and also how to land one’s work with a publishing company.

Art*iculation, Honing Your Powers of Expression on Saturday November 17th from 10:00 AM to 4:00 PM. Participants will spend time with a master painter learning how to “see” like an artist and then work on creating vivid scenes for novels, short stories, and memoirs.

How To Write Your Family Story on Saturday January 12th from 10:00 AM to 2:00 PM. This workshop will focus on capturing present-day and past events of one’s family’s multi-generational legacy, weaving it together into an intriguing family story.

How To Write A Romance Novel on Saturday February 9th from 10:00 AM to 2:00 PM. This workshop will focus on creating compelling characters and a saleable romance novel.

Inspirational Writing on Saturday March 16th from 10:00 AM to 2:00 PM. This workshop will focus on what makes a great inspirational novel or memoir work for readers, agents, and publishers.

This year David will also offer a Writer In Residence Program for beginning authors to send writing in progress to David for in-person critique and advice. Dates to participate are the Sundays of November 18th, 2018 and January 13th, February 10th, and March 17th, 2019.
